About Clarisk

Clarity plus Risk.

Clarisk Sustainability & Engineering Partners (CSEP) is an Adelaide based sustainability engineering firm founded by process engineers and technologists who believe ESG should be an input to engineering design rather than an afterthought.

Who we are

Clarisk grew out of research at Adelaide University. We combine deep expertise in life cycle assessment (LCA), techno economic analysis (TEA), social sustainability, machine learning and large language models (LLMs) to help organisations navigate the energy and climate transition with confidence.

We work with clients around the world. Our partners range from small and medium enterprises taking their first steps in sustainability reporting, to technology developers assessing emerging processes, to academic and research institutions advancing the next generation of clean technologies.

Our vision

A world where every engineering and business decision is made with clear sight of its climate, social and economic consequences.

Our mission

To make world class sustainability assessment affordable, transparent and engineering driven. We build tools and advice that cut the cost of credible ESG work, lift the productivity of the teams who do it, and give every organisation, whatever its size, the power to make decisions that are good for business and good for the planet.

Why "Clarisk"?

Clarity plus Risk.

The name says exactly what we do. We bring clarity to climate, ESG and technology risk, and we turn complex sustainability data into decisions that engineers and executives can act on.

How we got here

From a research question at Adelaide University to a platform used across four continents.

Research

ESG integrated process design research begins

PhD research at Adelaide University sets out to embed ESG principles into process engineering decisions from the earliest design stage, rather than bolting them on afterwards.

Build

The Clarisk Suite takes shape

The founding team builds Australia's first homegrown, AI supported LCA platform, on open source foundations, so every value stays traceable to its source.

Partner

First engineering and reporting engagements

Clarisk begins working directly with SMEs, technology developers and research institutions across Australia, Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Today

ASRS reporting support at scale

As AASB S2 mandatory climate reporting phases in across Group 1 to Group 3 entities, Clarisk supports reporters and the SMEs in their value chains with real emission factors, not proxy data.
